After forgetting my ticket for warhammer fest today, someone was kind enough to offer me a spare for free. Just a shoutout to that guy. Thanks mate. Just goes to show how good this community is...

Developed in the highest level of secrecy, not on mars but on terra, the leviathan pattern dreadnought represents an alternative development of the highly successful contemptor design. it represents a hybrid of technologies, some of which it is believed date back to the age of strife, while other rumors suggest it was created by the hand of the emperor directly. Regardless of its origins, the resources required to produce a leviathan dreadnought are immense, equal perhaps even to an imperial knight.

Happy new year guys! Hope everyone got the reinforcements that they wanted after Christmas!

Anyway, this is a quick update on what (little) I've been doing since the last post. I've got some fresh troops from the Shrine of Asuryan ready to fight against the enemies of the High Elves!

Now whether or not the necron rumours are to be fully trusted, I for one see them as kitbashes, the image below shows the green plastic rods on the necron warriors to be gone, most likely one of the rods from the ghost ark.

Now while this gives the painter more options, it could be a nightmare to get enough bits... It also makes me think... How can I future proof my necrons?

If they are'nt going to be green rods, could I do a different colour scheme, will I have to phase out my current warriors?

Having the green plastic rods has always limited the palette when choosing a colour scheme for most painters, so, with the slight possibility of this now gone, or whether I just want to kitbash, I thought it was about time somebody talked about it...
Nearly (early WIP photos)

What's going on guys, Kill3rkrok here. Just a quick update on how things are going with my warriors of chaos.

Well, just played my second game of Warhammer fantasy. 1500 points against Daemons and I must say that even when i'm just learning the rules, IT'S GREAT FUN!!

Playing with my Warriors of Chaos against Daemons it made me realize just how fun this game is, even when you are behind, outnumbered and out matched, there is something extremely satisfying about lowering a full unit of 27 bloodleters to 0 toughness and seeing them wiped off the board with a single spell (I call hacks - Zarak). My setup this time was a nurgle sorcerer lord, a block of 20 warriors and 10 war hounds. I'm beginning to really enjoy playing with nurgle and love the way that the different gods completely change the way you play your army.

There is still a lot to learn, and personally I'm ready to let myself get submersed into the hobby once again, just the smell of plastic glue brings back good memories.

I recently was given a very generous gift, a unit of warriors, by one of my best friends, and I've been working on getting them battle worthy.

So here it is, the first model I have painted in nearly 7 years....

Our first post from Kill3rkrok, kicks off today with a discussion about the viability of proxies in regular games of warhammer.

Hi guys, Kill3rkrok here, in my opinion there are 3 main reasons to proxy; learning, aesthetics and list building.
Proxy models... Yey or Ney?

A few years back whilst searching for good deals on eBay, I came across this little beast, a great unclean one made out of green stuff... Lets me just tell you that this picture does not do the model justice, the guy who sculpted this did a great job in my opinion, and I probably could talk for several more hours about how great he is. However, this is not a post about a great model, this is a post about the rise and fall of the Daemon Lord of Chaos.

Hi, finally going to be able to put this up after what seemed like the worlds longest delay from loosing the original set of images, sorry. I had to redo the tutorial at double speed to get this out by the end of the day, so here it is:

What you will need:

Foam board (a single a4 sheet will be more than enough)

Hobby knife

Ball-point pen

Printout of Aquila on thin paper (the cheaper the better)

Super glue (although pva will suffice)
The release of the Imperial Knight has finally given me a non-Baneblade chassis unit which can contend against super-heavies.

With the release of Escalation a while back, my Space Wolves and Tau were perhaps left a little behind in the arms race. Well, let's just say I got tired of hammering that Baneblade with dozens of lascannon shots in an attempt to destroy it BEFORE it tore through my army.

I've already got an awesome conversion idea for the Imperial Knight, which I have dubbed 'Ragnarok' (Seeing as Ragnarok is the Viking Apocalypse, which I thought was an appropriate name considering that it will be allied to my Wolves). I'll post pics of it once its built.

Thanks, Thomas.
